Yes, The Octotel Network has been build to withstand up to stage 8 load shedding in most areas, but you still need to power the Wifi ONT at your house with an inverter or mini UPS for your connection to work. An 8800mah Mini Router UPS can usually power the equipment for up to 4 hours depending on to power consumption of your router. If you don’t have one, you can order a mini UPS from our client portal.
If the Octotel Prepaid equipment is already in your house, activation can take only a few minutes.
If there is no Octotel Prepaid Router installed in your house it will take up to 1 week for installation, after payment of your first recharge is received.
The router and fibre line are linked to the address where it was installed, and can not be moved. Any recharges on the old line will be lost and A new installation would need to be ordered for the new house by contacting sales@web-telecoms.co.za
